The Town Sage — Best lives are lived from home

Strength & Mobility guide

Movement for the moments that matter

Getting up from a chair, climbing a step, carrying groceries — everyday strength keeps everyday life possible.

A gentle 10-minute routine

  1. Sit-to-stand

Rise from a sturdy chair and sit back down slowly. 5–10 times.

  2. Heel raises

Hold a counter and lift onto your toes. 10 times.

  3. Supported marches

Hold the counter and march in place for 30 seconds.

  4. Wall push-ups

Hands on the wall, bend and straighten your elbows. 8–10 times.

Stop if anything hurts or you feel dizzy. Ask your clinician or a physical therapist what's right for you.

Make movement safer

Steady surfaces

Use a heavy chair against a wall and a firm counter for support.

Good footwear

Closed, non-slip shoes beat socks or slippers.

Little and often

A few minutes most days builds more than one long session.
