Plan for Laundry Before It Becomes a Mountain

The Town Sage Says...

Laundry is really several jobs: gathering, washing, drying, folding, and putting away. Identifying the difficult part can be more useful than telling yourself to catch up. You may want help with carrying a basket while keeping the folding routine you enjoy.

Choose a manageable load and a convenient day. Keep supplies where you can use them comfortably. If stairs, lifting, or reaching make the routine difficult, ask for help with that particular step. A useful plan ends with clothes back where you need them, rather than waiting in another pile.

Try this: Name the one laundry step you would most like to make easier.
